Apple Unveils Vision Pro 2 with Breakthrough Display Technology

Apple has announced the Vision Pro 2, a significantly upgraded version of its spatial computing headset that addresses many criticisms of the original device. The new model is 40% lighter, $1,000 cheaper at $2,499, and features display technology that company executives claim approaches the limits of human visual perception.

The improvements come after the first-generation Vision Pro, launched in 2024, received mixed reviews due to its weight, limited battery life, and high price. Apple sold approximately 500,000 units of the original, below expectations but enough to establish a beachhead in the emerging market.

"Vision Pro 2 is the spatial computer we always envisioned," said Apple CEO Tim Cook during the announcement.
